Giddy Gardener

I am so excited about my garden! I have to look every day (sometimes more than once) to see if any seeds have sprouted and watch their progress. This year I am starting a few plants indoors. The brussels sprouts and one tomato have spouted so far. My parsley and spinach from last year are still alive and well. Parsley is supposed to grow for two years, but I had 6 invincible spinach plants (pictured) that survived the mild winter!

yay! I too am eagerly watching the things I've planted turn into beatiful sights. I left my house yesterday on the way to the cantata and found one lone tulip-- the tallest of all--right in the middle of the bed fully opened and bloomed. I expect the rest by the end of the week. I wish I had room to do crops...because I like salad so much, I will have to keep a spinach plant in mind for in the future!

Clearly I haven't left many comments as I didn't know how to get my name to show up :)

mckenna- you obviously remember the picture of me staring blankly at the funny little ball on my spoon that my wife tried to convince me was a tasty treat. I don't trust brussel sprouts!!!!
